This should be at the top of your list if you're looking for classic New Orleans food and culture. But they often have a long wait especially on weekends, so try to make reservations in advance.

This is in the lower garden district, a Columbian restaurant with a variety of unique food options - all of which are amazing.

Cochon Restaurant

Great food with a unique Cajun twist located in the CBD, an incredible way to get the true flavors of New Orleans

The Joint

If you love BBQ you have to experience The Joint. Everything they make is great, but the brisket is to die for.

Stein's Market and Deli

This is in the Irish Channel area, they have the best and biggest classic sandwiches in the city. We highly recommend the Reuben.
